Connecting Directly To JLR

Suppliers who are currently connecting directly to Ford for their JLR messages will be able to continue connecting directly via the new infrastructure; however, a new OFTP network (SSID), mailbox (SFID) and associated connection details will need to be profiled in your OFTP software.
 
Below are the connection details for the new JLR infrastructure and instructions about how to add these details to your Data Interchange product.

VPN client (iPass, Cisco dialler etc.) 

For suppliers who wish to continue using a VPN client to connect to JLR (this option will only be available to existing VPN client users), JLR’s service provider will be replacing your current dialler software with Checkpoint SecuRemote Client.
 
The VPN client infrastructure is currently being implemented and connection details will be available in January.

Creating a new account at JLR

If you wish to connect directly to the new JLR infrastructure you will need to notify JLR’s infrastructure provider when they contact you.  They will send you a registration form that you will need to complete and return to them.

ODEX Enterprise

For ODEX Enterprise Users – 
 
1)      Add a new network node and mailbox for JLR
2)      Update any workflows sending messages to, or extracting messages from, JLR
3)      Update Virtual Filenames
 
The steps to follow are:

Adding a new JLR Network and Mailbox 

1)      In the ODEX Enterprise Administrator, select the Comms tab and click on Clearing Centre Networks.
2)      On the right hand panel click the New button and select ‘New OFTP Clearing Centre’
3)      Enter the SSID from the section above, enter the password you specified on the registration form and select your chosen connection method.
4)      Choose the Mailboxes tab and click the Add button.
5)      In the Details screen, enter a name (e.g. JLR), the SFID O927153228JLR, then click OK and Save.

Updating Workflows 

1)      To access your workflows and related entries, use ODEX Enterprise Administrator, Workflows tab.
2)      The entries in this section will have been used to customise ODEX Enterprise for your own purposes, so will vary from system to system. If you are not sure what changes you need to make, please contact Support.

Updating Virtual Filenames

1) Follow instructions here.
