DARWIN Minimum Requirements

Hardware

Pentium IV 2 Ghz CPU or higher recommended
1 GB RAM
2 GB free hard drive space

The above are recommended minimum requirements. Disk space will vary based on usage and data retention requirements.

For communications, one of the following is required:

Internet connection
Dial-up modem

Operating System

32-bit and 64-bit versions of the following:

Windows 7
Windows XP (SP3)
Windows Vista (SP2)
Windows Server 2003 (R2 or SP2)
Windows Server 2008 (R2 or SP2)

DARWIN 4 Software

.NET Framework v3.5 SP1 and v4 (not installed by DARWIN but can be downloaded from here)
SQL Server 2008 (Express edition installed by DARWIN)

The Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 SP1 and v4 are mandatory and take up 250Mb each. They will be required on all machines on which you install the DARWIN server and/or clients. They take a good hour to install and may require a re-boot of the machine. They can be obtained from the Microsoft website – please use the link above.
